David Bolstad is a partner and head of the litigation group at Safarian Choi & Bolstad LLP in Los Angeles, California. David’s practice covers a broad spectrum of business litigation, including commercial real estate litigation relating to, among others, purchase and sale contracts, secured loan transactions, partnership and joint venture agreements, commercial lease disputes, construction defects on private and public works projects, judicial and non-judicial foreclosures, receiverships, mechanic’s lien claims, easements and rights of way. Over his 29 years of practice, David also has significant experience handling consumer class actions, labor and employment claims, ADA actions, and insurance coverage claims.

David is a seasoned trial lawyer having tried numerous cases in both state and federal courts. He has represented small companies, mid-market companies, and large national and international companies such as ING Clarion, Pebblebrook Hotel Trust, Wells Fargo Bank, OneWest Bank, General Growth, and Westfield of America, Inc.

David is a former partner with the law firms Mayer Brown, LLP and Allen Matkins Leck Gamble Mallory & Natsis LLP. He received his J.D., Order of the Coif, from Loyola Law School, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Los Angeles International and Comparative Law Journal. During law school, he also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Robert M. Takasugi of the United States District Court for the Central District of California. David received his MBA from Loyola Marymount University and his undergraduate degree in finance from California State University, Long Beach.
