Alisa Stephen is a transactional paralegal based in the firm’s downtown Los Angeles office. After earning her Bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley, she began working for a real estate broker, assisting in short sale negotiations and loan modifications. She narrowed her focus to the legal field during a two-year stint at Paul Hastings LLP, during which she earned her Paralegal Certificate and completed an externship within their Real Estate Department, assisting in acquisition, disposition and financing transactions. She then moved to sharpen her litigation skills at a high-profile civil rights firm, where she was chosen to travel and support the attorneys during an extensive domestic violence trial at the San Diego Superior Court, by specializing in the TrialDirector software.

At Safarian Choi & Bolstad LLP, she reviews title, survey, and zoning issues, due diligence materials, and assists in drafting and compiling loan documents. In her spare time she studies classical literature, and is a passionate advocate for libraries and universal literacy.
